Our memories are all over this town

When you smiled at me from the drivers seat of that old Chevy, I remembered, I remembered everything.
Us being strangers, the way our eyes met across that gym floor, the way we started, those old boots, the way your hand fit in mine, how my heart skipped everytime I saw you, what we had, what we started to lose, the way it ended, every hurtful word you said on that cold Sunday in march that left a permanent scar on my heart.
Rereading our conversations and looking through our pictures just makes me remember everything you said to me. It makes me wonder if you ever really cared.
